I have thought about this for many years and really want to become a foster carer. I am not naive or disillusioned, I appreciate its very hard work.

Anyway, I work 30 hours per week and enjoy my work. I would like to be considered as a respite foster carer.
Does anyone know whether you are still able to work full time and be a respite foster carer?

Good on you. I've often thought of doing this and as of yet, have not had the courage. Flowers

In theory yes, but I think it does depend on which LA you're with though. We're Band 2 carers and both work but do repsite and short term. Band 1s and 3s in this area can't work (one of a couple or a single carer that is).
