Hi I'm just needing a little advice. My husband and I were due to go to panel on Wednesday to be told whether we have been successful to foster. However today I received a phone call from our supervising social worker to say that Lincolnshire council have some information archived about me and we can no longer go to panel on Wed.
I've got bipolar and we lived in Lincolnshire for a few years when I was having a bad time but I don't know what it could be about.
I'm worried sick now and don't know what to do. Has this ever happened to anyone else or does anyone know what it could be and if it will affect me?
Thanks for listening xxx

Try not to worry, worrying won't change the outcome.
Just think they are just dotting the i's and crossing the t's.
If your assessment has gone well then some old info shoulddn't change that. Presumably you have discussed the bipolar and its management in you assessment, if the dx hasn't affected their decision to take you to panel then you having a bad time a while ago shouldn't affect it now.

So long as you disclosed your previous problems when doing your Form F then I would imagine they will just want to discuss the information the LA have come up with. So long as it's discussed and they're happy with your answer, and so long as your medical report comes back Ok then I would imagine they will put you forward for the next panel. I wouldn't worry too much. They have to tick all the boxes.

Dogfish, why will they not let you keep her ? They must have given you a reason ? Are you only approved for respite and emergency ?

Not privy to. Have you spoke to your supervising social worker ?
