I'm considering fostering children, need advice

I'm in N.I and considering fostering children. I've too young children myself aged 5 and 10 months. I've made contact and had a chat with the SW who seemed to think we would be acceptable to SS.
I really need to chat to other oeoe who have done this as. I think I'm being very optimistic about what I could do for a child.
Can you tell me some of your stories re fostering both good and bad?
Really need to know what I'm getting in to.
