I have the joys of march out to look forward to - moving in 6 weeks time.

Started to tackle the jungle garden yesterday.

Remember to have your lovely DHE curtains cleaned shaken out and rehung with the bottoms carefully arranged on the window sills.

That's once you have fished them off the floor of the airing cupboard.

I've never had my extractor fan checked yet....

Remember ammonia is the way to go on cleaning oven parts!

You all do realise that this is going to stay with you for the rest of your life?? FIL was in forces and MIL is still obsessed with making sure curtains hang right. You poor things!!

I thought you were having a contract cleaner? Or have you blown all dh's OA/tax free bonus on chintz curtains and shooting sticks for Shriv? grin

Aha... I use Oven pride for the shelves and then sing the 80s song "Love and Pride" by King for the next day and a half! It also works brilliantly

Oven Mate is a paint on thing and it does not stink and it works!

We are around on 26th (just back from rainy Cornwall) so will catch up soon x

LittleLapin - Are you doing your own cleaning??? shockshock. Noooo. I thought we had convinced you otherwise grin.
I was going to start a thread on this today. I am mid clean of our small 3 bed semi (swapped for this big officers quarter I am now swanning around in grin therefore no disturbance allowance) and it has nearly finished me off today. I think I am taking it too seriously. I have cleaned the tops of all my kitchen cupboards today wondering if they bring a ladder to check them on march out hmm. So far dh has done 6 hrs and I have done 7 hrs. We still have the garden and the windows (don't...I know they should have been done first) and the hall to do. Oh and the light fitting in the kitchen which I could not get down to do and will now make my pristine kitchen dirty again hmm.
We paid £90 for the cooker and hood to be professionally cleaned too. Thank goodness. The cooker looks like new. Amazing.
Additionally we are due a re-paint and new curtains and carpets so don't even have to wash the walls or patch up paint and I am still exhausted by it.
I clean regularly too. I am not a slattern I swear.
NEVER AGAIN.....

Oh and it appears we have been sharing our home with at least 59 spiders grin. I dust the cobwebs but have never found the spiders till now. There were four in our wardrobe grin.
Don't forget the tops of the curtain rail bits and the inside ledge of your built in wardrobe, oh and has anyone a good tip for doing the backs of the radiators. There are cobwebs there I just cannot reach.
We had take away pizza for tea grin. My superstar Mum sent us the money for take away as she was so impressed we did the house move ALL BY OURSELVES. I am feeling so strong grin.

Just wanted to say good luck. Brings back memories - do they still use a mirror to make sure the toilet is really, really clean?
