I am feeling ill already, those poor little chicks! I wish I could afford to go completely organic, I am sure it is just a matter of good organisation of the family menu!

louli Thu 28-Jul-05 21:10:11

I know what you mean

so sad. i went off chickens after a report about the black bits on their legs(have a look next time you buy one). It's where their legs go bad from sitting in their own wee

RTKangaMummy Thu 28-Jul-05 21:23:44

we buy organic but I do wonder if that is much better

RTKangaMummy Thu 28-Jul-05 21:28:38

hunkermunker Thu 28-Jul-05 21:39:59

A pint of fat from one chicken!

mum2twins Thu 28-Jul-05 21:44:41

thats it I am going to try and turn completely organic!

RTKangaMummy Thu 28-Jul-05 21:44:46

what are we supposed to eat

apart from out of our own garden

how do you know if the butcher is a good one???????

FIMAC1 Thu 28-Jul-05 21:46:18

Shift in ratio of EFA's causing ADHD - possibly? Discuss

The only way to do anything about this is to not buy this rubbish - corn fed free range chicken tastes totally scrumptious and organic

RTKangaMummy Thu 28-Jul-05 21:46:28

I wonder though as we get organic chicken from tesco

is that much better ????????

or are we still being conned???

FIMAC1 Thu 28-Jul-05 21:47:39

Organic has strict guidelines to get to be called Organic IIRC? so should be all good

RTKangaMummy Thu 28-Jul-05 21:48:05

we hads a roast chicken on sunday that was organic and DH did say it was smaller

but I guess that is a good thing

are they happier chickens though
