Checking in - what did your 10 month old eat yesterday?(18 Posts)
What did your 10 month old [or similar age] eat yesterday? If some of you would be kind enough to post re your child's typical daily menu, I'd be really interested to read them. And hopefully reassured aswell!
ds3 is 9.5 months and yesterday he had:
Weetabix (probably only half)
Biscuit (organic baby biscuit type thing)
Pot of organic apple and banana
2 petit filous
Rice cakes and a biscuit
Sweet potato, cod, babycorn, mange tout and peas
Had a go at a banana (not sure how much went in his mouth though!)
This is fairly typical.
Breakfast - 3/4 weetabix with formula milk plus piece of toast
Mid-morning - 6 oz formula
Lunch - two breadsticks, half jar of Hipp Organic pasta with cheese and vegetables, half a yogurt
Afternoon - a pear, 5 oz of expressed milk
Tea - pasta and chicken casserole (home-made)
Breastfeed at bedtime and at sundry times during night (he still sleeps with me)
ds is 12m now, but thinking back...
big bowl of porridge
vege soup and a piece of toast
about 3 dried apricots
chicken and tomato sauce with pasta
OK bad mother here - sod the formula we are on full fat stuff! The other two were fine at 10m so why not
(mind you he is a big boy weight at birth 11lb 3oz) but as I say the other two are fine and were 8lb 7oz and 8lb 12oz.)
Yesturday was weetabix mixed with some heinz summer fruit and a yoghurt for breakfast. oh and chews some toast too.
Lunch was sandwiches, squash and a banana.
tea was a jar of spagetti, some organix thingy.
I hope this doesn't all sound too lax but having 3 under 5 you do become a little 'whatever' type of thing!!!
sax - sounds pretty much liek what jess gets!
Breakfast - 1/2 a weetabix
Mid Morning - bottle and biscuit
Lunch - sandwich, a few wotsits and a yoghurt
Afternoon - Bottle and biscuit
Tea - mashed potato and gravy or tin of spaghetti and toast etc followed by yoghurt
Bed - bottle
oh and the odd banana if it hits her mouth!

I have been reading posts for a while but this is the first time I have posted. My dd is 10 months and yesterday she ate
porridge with fruit puree
bit of toast
cheese sandwich (had to feed it her with fingers)
potatoes and veg
7oz milk at bedtime
I am quite proud because yesterday was the first day she hasn't had a jar!
Hey, we ARE normal after all!! I'm very excited now!
I love mumsnet!
Elise is 9 months and yesterday she had
ready break with 1 apricot mixed in it
Homemade ratatouille with parmesan, pasta, ham.
Prune and apple compote
mixed fruit compote
carrot puree with an egg yolk, fresh celery leaf and 1 potato
yogurt mixed with fresh raspberries
Loved it all
Bigmerlin - what did yours eat? [very nosy emoticon!]
Also glad to be normal here
Ds on an average day has;
1pm-Tin/Jar savoury, or mash and veg.
2x petit filous
4pm-Mashed Banana/stewed pear or apple/Dessert jar
A biscuit occassionally if he's lucky!
OK, well my dd decided at the age of 7 months that she doesn't like being fed from a spoon, so I nearly always have to spread anything she can't pick up herself onto some sort of bread / rice cake product so that she can pick it up.
Recently she has deigned to eat porridge and yoghurts off a spoon though. Yesterday I realised she was happy to eat some veg mash not off a piece of pitta bread, which is normally how we manage it, but, (get this!), off the nose of a Duplo giraffe!!!!
So, yesterday she had:
Bf 6oz formula from bottle
1 slice wholemeal toast with butter and a banana spread on it.
A few mouthfuls porridge with raisins off a spoon
Some dry no salt/sugar rice crispies
A few oz formula from a beaker (6oz were on offer, but we are having beaker battles at the moment)
Wholemeal pitta bread containing butter nut squash mash
Some pieces of cheese
Some pieces of pear
A mini baby yoghurt
Very very dilute grape juice & water from beaker
6 fl oz formula from bottle
A homemade (by dh, not me!) plum / oat biscuit
Mini homemade pizza (another handy veg finger food!) Homemade, by me, for a change
Some pieces of apple
Very small piece of buttered malt loaf
Very very dilute juice / water from beaker
8 oz milk from bottle
But some days she has a few nibbles of cheese and fruit and that's it!
Actually, thinking about it, most of the breakfast toast and lunch pitta bread ended up on the floor...
