I always make macaroni cheese for DS using penne, rather than buying macaroni specially.

penne pasta is used for thicker sauces , the larger size means that thick sauce can get inside . macaroni is a lot thinner.
but it doesnt really matter imo .... its what it tastes like that counts ! grin . shoot me but my itallian ex boyfriend used to say its all the same - just comes in different shapes !
btw do you know what penne means? roflol grin grin grin .
