I wanted to steer away from the whole jam / chutney thing as a bit of a faff, but that delia recipe does sound good....

norbetdentressangle hmmmm these damsons are looking a bit more appealing now...

what are they like with loads of sugar?

NorbertDentressangle Wed 21-Oct-09 10:09:35

Its very simple. DP makes it some years.

Gin + damsons + sugar. Leave for ages, shaking bottle occasionally. Drink. grin

(just ggogle for quantities

PS -despite my bad typing I'm NOT on the damson gin at the moment blush

cargirl - i usually go for the crumble option but these are really small and taking the stones out would be well....lets just say I have better things to do!

Put them in the freezer and worry about them again in a couple of years when you find them at the bottom...
