I have! Nothing sweet but made loads of the savoury salad stuff and a fab rice dish. Lots of it didn't appeal to me at first but now firm faves! Hope they are yum.

Well I bit the bullet and tried the cakes, they're cooling down as I speak and they look fantastic!
I feel like a proper grown up.
Thanks for your help.

Let me know if they are good, not made any cakes yet but they look yum.
Also made some of the salad stuff, going to make oxtail stew later. Not had the book long need to try more!

I made the chocolate fudge cake and it was amazing, the best chocolate cake I have ever eaten in my life.

I've made the chicken rice salad and the sweet potato and chickpea thing, both absolutely delicious. Then I lent the book to my mum, not seen it since...

This thread has made me determined to get it back.

I made the sweet potato dauphinoise-y thing. It was delicious. And something else that I can't remember, but it was good too.

I've made the Mejadarah from his website - it's delicious. Dh and dc's love it, and we usually finish the whole lot in one sitting.

The rice dish was the one where you add lentils and fry noodles - also has fried onions on top. Is lovely and also very good baked in the oven with breadcrumbs on top - kind of steams itself.
