Bellavita, My mum used to make parkin for Bonfire night, and I was going to try this year, but can't find oatmeal anywhere.

I have seen recipes with oats, but surely they can't be REAL parkin, can they? How do you do yours?

Hobbgoblin: Thanks to DK's Kids' First Cook Book.

4oz butter, 6oz soft brown sugar, 4oz crunchy peanut butter, 6oz SR flour, 1 egg.
Oven 180/gas 4

Cream butter and sugar. Mix in rest of ingredients. Blobs on to baking tray. Bake for 20 mins. Cool and eat.
