Should I serve the Foie Gras before the Guinea Fowl at Dinner Party on Friday night? DH'S boss is coming and I want to make a big impression (DH is Vegetarian so he is just having Sainsbury's Taste the Difference but what the hell! I will be on a very strict time management regime on Friday and will need ALL my strss balls.) Also does Annabel Karmel have any Foie Gras recipies for toddlers/ I am determined to use all leftovers. Oh and I want to shape napkins into Guinea Fowl shapes Swans, are Soo last season. Will this be OTT?

Foie Gras first.
Do not do napkins in any shape - no no.

Leftovers:
I always turn them into Foie Gras Straws.
4oz plain flour
2 oz butter
1 egg, beaten

Viola.

Well, if you want to make a good impression avoid Foie Gras if you don't know them well enough to know if they are part of that group of people who refuse to eat it out of principles.

Senior Swingles Forum assured me Foie Gras was v. de rigeur for Dinner Parties these days. They have also advised that it is good to try everything once it broadens one's horizons. The Senior Swingle Honorary President was the lone dissenting voice she said she prefers a good Spit Roastinstead.

Foie Gras is unsuitable for children under the age of 2 and will cause them to drop dead instantly.

Annabel does however do a delightful 'Faux Foie Gras Four Ways' made from mashed parsnips.

Regarding the Toad in the Hole, please make quite sure Vicar realises this refers to sausage buried within flaps of batter, and that there won't be any leftover 'sloppy seconds' from the foie gras course.

I think its the verger who does sloppy seconds. gloiredemonpere wont be back for a while MN banned her for all the geriatric//religious porn connotations. BrightonAvenger is covering her post. Will have to cancel damn dinner party Foie Gras and all!!!
