Isn't it melted choc and creme fraiche or something like that? Or just melted choc?

Report
BoysAreLikeDogs · 09/10/2009 17:42

eek

well yes the choc oughtta be melted with something, butter? Or cream? to be properly viscous for pouring but not too thick.

hadn't thought about creme fraiche

[rolls eyes at self]

Did you look at my meta-tiramisu ???

baldy mate, do you think your overlarge tirimisu needs a thread of its own?

I make choc sauce with melted nice proper choc and then lob in butter and goldensyrup until it looks lovely and pourable.

I expect the old prof roll queen will have a very exact recipe, maybe with a mystery ingredient like syphylissis physilisses
small orange things.

No I did not have the plesir of seeing your tiramasu. Where was it?

And golden syrup in choc sauce? Do your guests have any enamel left on their teeth after that?

oh yes to golden syrup

as I only have 70% plus very fine very dark chocolate in my larder [larder posturing] I find that you need to inject a little sugar into the action to get it up to 'oh this is like the chocolate sauce of my childhood' flashback reminiscences.

And it makes it runnier somehow.

gawd I managed to avoid the 'i' word by sticking my profiteroles to the tins this morning

I DO hope you mean 'sling a spoon or so of sugar into the pan'

I bet it was all for her. I bet she had to eat it all in one go for a dare.

Report
CybilLiberty · 09/10/2009 18:02

She would be, like, todally eggbound

Report
Slubberdegullion · 09/10/2009 18:04

Oh yes. It would take a good litre of lactulose to shift that amount of tiramisu.

Report
BoysAreLikeDogs · 09/10/2009 18:06

hahahahah at eggbound

It was for lunch with posh folks

Slubbers on my profiterole thread I was quivering about having to inject cream into said profiteroles. Luckily I managed to stick em to the tins so they have big 'oles on the bottom for cream stuffing purposes.

phew.

Oh I seeeeeeeeeee

Did you invite your posh guests to change into swimwear post meal (like they sometimes strangely do on Come Dine With Me) so they could all sit inside your giant vat of tirimasu and partake in weirdy coctails and general jollyment.

no no no you misunderstand

Tiramisu is not baking, tis a case of mixing and combining only

my profiteroles are erm a bit sad looking so with a goodly portion of cream to puff them up I can disguise them with choc sauce and hope that family will be too pissed to critique the presentation tomorrow
