Cut in half and put out on ground for blackbirds (but not if you have any rodents about)

Make banana bread with the bananas apparently it is best made with overipe ones.

Agree with reikizen's suggestions.

You could also try an apple tart but is a bit fiddly. My vote is crumble.

Alternatively, you could grate your apples and use them in a cake or mike them up with some chopped red cabbage, a bit of onion and a dash of cider vinegar in a pan and simmer for a few hours and then serve with duck or other strong flavoured poulty. Particularly delicious with duck confit and potato dephinois.

<Ponders nipping to tesco for ingredients to make yummy duck dinner...>

Blackberry & apple loaf - I have done this with blueberries and it was lovely.

OR Apple Muffins - you dont need to do the pecan toppings!

Crumble! I went out to shops specifically to buy some apples to make crumble yesterday. It was delicious and very easy to make.

And banana bread freezes really well if you can't eat it in one sitting

Stewed apples is the quickest thing I find... You can also freeze apples!

Agree re: banana bread - I use Nigella' recipe
