Is there anything I can do with a big, out-of-date, pot of fruit yogurt?

I have a big pot of apricot yogurt that went out of date on Friday. I haven't opened it yet but I was wondering if there's anything I can make with it if it's turned a bit sour.

Give it to your DH, that's what I always do. Men are very tough.

Eat it. If it looks and smells Ok it is fine. What would you do if it didn't have a date? You'd use what nature gave you to decide if it was fit to eat.

I am certain manufacturers put these dates far to early, we throw away perfectly good food and they sell us more. Yogurts are good at least a week after their date IME.

Didn't want to bin it. I used to be really fussy about dates but am a lot more relaxed about them now but I do draw the line if the food tastes off. However, I wondered if I'd be able to make some kind of cake with it (I'm not a natural in the kitchen so please excuse me if that's a ridiculous suggestion!!).

I'll go and open it to assess the situation!!

there's a great recipe on here for yoghurt muffins. i've made them with strawberry yoghurt and added fresh strawbs and they're really yummy. you could try that. go to recipes at the top of this page and then search for muffins.
