Muffin disaster! HELP!

I am going to a friends tomo morning and wanted to take some homemade delights....

I have tried to make the banana bran muffins from "Economy Gastronomy" but I don't have any muffin cases, or baking paper, or greaseproof paper...

I have fairy cake cases so have tried a couple in these and the mixture just sticks to the bottom

Could I use tin foil instead of cake cases or will it burn?

Why are they so sticky? Have been through the recipe and I don't think I've forgotten anything!

Also noticed the ones in fairy cases haven't risen much - should a add some more baking powder...?

It says you can keep in the fridge for 3 days so I have bunged it in there for now and hopefully some wise mnetter will come to my rescue!!!!

Been away on holiday and only seeing this now but have to reply even though far too late to help. I have made these too and made them in both muffin cases and fairy cases....they where absolutely the most disgusting thing I have ever tasted and where a sticky gloopy mess and would not cook any more no matter what i tried,. I then tried to cook the 2nd batch that had been in the fridge and again another non risen sticky mess of a brown thing was produced from the oven. I double checked the recipe and nothing was forgotten..will not be making them again a total waste of time and money. hope this helps.

Oh SO glad it wasn't just me then!

I did use tin foil in the end which worked ok as a "vessle" but they are very gloupy and not tasty at all.

Not sure why there are meant to be "healthy" either as there was a shed load of sugar in them!

Hope you had a nice holiday
