So I've agreed to make my friend's wedding cake - I've got my expert baker mum on board so I'm feeling pretty darned confident. The only thing we're short on is quantities for 140 spread over 4 tiers.

Would 12", 9", 6", 4" do it?

Ta!

Is it fruit cake ? And is it as dessert, or in addition ?

I will check quantities with my cake decorating book which tells you all of the permuatations

It's fruit on the bottom, then chocolate sponge, then lemon sponge and orange sponge on top.

Having spoken to a local cake specialist I was advised to go for 12", 10", 8" and 6". Methinks this will be a large cake and will feed more than 140!

Thanks for your help
