I thought I might make one for our picnic but am wondering what size tin as the reviews seem to say it is huge.

I make it in an American 9"x13" tin...not sure what that equates to. I haven't made a lemon drizzle in ages. I think I need to fill that "cake shaped hole in my soul" with some cake!

what is an american tin?
just like a deep sandwich tin measuring 9x13?

I make it in a large round tin - 9" diameter and quite deep

I make it in a small roasting dish. (about 20cm by 30cm). makes it nice and thick.

Recipe is currently recipe of the week which is on the right hand side if you scroll down -->

I just tried this with an egg substitute and it wasn't half bad. Not quite as good as with egg but I am pleased.

I make it in 2 loaf tins and then cut one into slices and freeze it. I don't ice mine as such, I make a syrup to drizzle over and soak in.
