My DH says yes but he's well lax.
I'm not so sure frankly.
and I'm 9 wks pg so even more not sure.
But I do hate waste sad
What you think?

ChasingSquirrels Wed 05-Aug-09 19:15:33

I probably would, but I am lax aswell.

Hangingbellyofbabylon Wed 05-Aug-09 19:15:43

of course not, 4 days for chicken is too much.

MrsBadger Wed 05-Aug-09 19:30:02

I don't think I would tbh

yoghurt etc is one thing but meat (esp meat that's been fiddled with, iyswim) I am more careful about

TheProfiteroleThief Wed 05-Aug-09 19:30:40

Crikey no!
Let him if he insists, but notyou!

FabBakerGirlIsBack Wed 05-Aug-09 19:31:07

I wouldn't and you really shouldn't being pregnant.

MaybeAfterBreakfast Wed 05-Aug-09 19:31:53

no, and definitely not if pg.

Claire2301 Wed 05-Aug-09 19:32:15

Nope. No way.

Mintyy Wed 05-Aug-09 19:32:30

Absolutely definitely not. This is chicken! Salmonella could kill you. I understand the hating waste thing but, really, come on, is it worth the risk?

LynetteScavo Wed 05-Aug-09 19:32:34

Hell NO!

wonderingwondering Wed 05-Aug-09 19:32:38

Four days! No way. Freeze when you buy them in future! Esp when pregnant, and so early on, def not worth the risk.

blametheparents Wed 05-Aug-09 19:33:04

Yuck, no way.

Let him eat it if he wants, I would not

MummyElk Wed 05-Aug-09 19:35:30

love it. thank you all!
i don't usually pay much attention to dates but agree with mrs badger, it's already been mucked about with! and it's chicken, scary stuff.
DH can do what he wants, I'll stick to the chip sandwich (which is all i really want anyway seem to have evening sickness).
[and i meant to freeze them blush just the weekend ran away with me]
Cheers all

FabBakerGirlIsBack Wed 05-Aug-09 19:37:15

Make it clear if he eats them and gets ill you will not be looking after him and if salmonella can kill you I would forbid him to eat them tbh.

lambanana Wed 05-Aug-09 19:42:56

I wouldn't but then I am a wuss about sell by dates. If it was my dh he would eat them but I would advise against it if you are pg.
