Rather soft bananas, anyone got a very simple recipe for children to make banana cake please?

I made banana cupcakes successfully last week -- just used standard recipe (take two eggs, weigh them whole in their shells (will be around 100-120g depending on size of egg), take the same weight of butter and sugar and cream together until light and fluffy, then gradually beat in eggs, then fold in that same weight (i.e. 100-120g) of flour (either self-raising or plain with a teaspoon and a half or so of baking powder), divide among cupcake cases and bake at around 190 C (bit less for fan oven) for 12-15 minutes or so) but mashed up two bananas and folded them in along with the flour.

I don't have cream, can I use milk instead?

Sorry, cream as a verb not a noun. Take the butter and the sugar and then beat them extremely vigorously together so that they become pale and fluffy. You don't need any actual cream .

And because of the bananas they count as fruit rather than cake... [this may be why I have weight issues emoticon]
