Karmel's carrot and raisin muffins - but only self raising flour...

planning on making these for a picnic this aft but only have self raising wholemeal flour. recipe calls for half white plain flour and half wholemeall plain flour.
am i better off using 100% white flour (so it will be wrong colour/texture but correct sort of flour) or using half self raising wholemeal (will the raising agent be disasterous)?

i have no idea....
