DD's first birthday tomorrow and party on Sat. Ive made her cake today which is currently cooling on the rack.Question is when do I do the middle.. the buttercream and Jam. Later once its cooled or tomorrow evening before I ice it?If today do I Keep it in the fridge after.
Personally I'd do it just before you ice it, only because it is easier to store in a tin until then...If you are icing with buttercream, I'd just stick jam in the middle. It can get a bit sickly otherwise (but obv that is a personal thing)
personally I'd do it all now, filling, icing, then I know its done! But don't be tempted to fill before its really cooled like I do, the top will slide off the bottom
no need to keep in fridge anyway, the sugar in the buttercream will stop it going off
