meringue query

I'm planning on making my meringues this evening and leaving them in the oven tonight for a party on Saturday night - will they still be good to eat on Saturday if kept in a tin?

They will be fine, but if it were me, I would do them tomorrow night just to ensure extra freshiness/chewiness/marshmallowiness....

I leave them in the oven overnight to dry out and then I usually put it on a plate with a tea towel over the top out of the way.

Thanks Bellavita; I normally would do them tomorrow, but we're out tomorrow night and not back until late, by which time I might not feel like cooking overmuch...
