DS 21mo stuffing food in the side of his mouth...

instead of swallowing. WHY?!?!?!?!?!?!

He sits there for ages with it there and then spits it out. Lovely.

He is not refusing food which is what usually happens when he's not hungry/ teething/ feeling ill.

He's still managing to swallow grapes though

Are you sure he's not a hamster? Mine does this, he stores it in his cheeks.

My Ds did this (and still does occasionally at 19mo) - he sucks all the flavour out but can't be bothered to chew it up sufficiently to swallow it. I wouldn't worry about it too much, how many teeth has he at the mo? once he has more teeth he'll probably stop doing it so much.

This happened to a friend of mine. Her DS kept a small piece of weetabix in his mouth for an entire day. Kids are strange.

Oh, ok then ladies I won't worry about it; just another phase I guess. He has nearly all his teeth so I don't think it's that but let's face it- who bloody knows!!!!
