What cake/treats can I offer to a vegetarian please?

I have a daddy and son vegetarian popping over for high tea this weekend. At the very least I would like to offer the dad some cake etc. Please can you someone tell me what would be ok - e.g. not contain animal fat etc? cakes, biscuits, snacks etc. Thank you.

He is a sikh so think this means just vegetarian. Yes he will eat milk etc but don't most of such products have animal fat in them rather then butter (I may be talking rubbish)?
