my DD[5yo] loves orange juice.
how much is too much?
she prob has about 2 litres a week, she drinks squash, water and milk at other times.
should i be worried that its too much for her?

Personally I limit it to approx 100- 150 mls per day (and some days she doesn't have any) I also dilute it with water, one third to one half orange juice topped up with water.

Afaik it isn't great for their teeth (sugar plus its acidity). I also tend to give it at main mealtimes as the vitamin c boosts the absorption of iron rich foods.

It does seem quite a lot. That averages what, 285ml a day (so probably about 2 large cups)?

My concern would be for teeth as well as the additional calories. The sugars can also cause diarrhoea.

This link seems quite sensible

I would dilute it down and try and make it gradually more watery.

thankyou i will definitely reduce her intake.
she can have one glass of diluted juice per day - didnt know it could cause diarrhoea.
i was thinking more of too much sugar.
