Leith's Cookery Bible - is it any good?

I've not seen it in real life, only on Amazon. Is it worth shelling out for? I need new recipe ideas as I'm totally stuck in a rut at the minute.

The recipes all work excellently. It's got more in the way of "dinner party" recipes than quick suppers but if you like that sort of thing it's great. Also it tells you all the basics eg how to roast a joint, boil a ham.

I particularly like all the sauces. Want to make a Cumberland Sauce - PL can tell you how!

It's also good if you're cooking for larger numbers as the recipes are all easy to factor up.
