I think it's that drinking chocolate has sugar added?

Tinker Tue 07-Jul-09 15:28:32

There's sugar added to hot chocolate powder

TigerFeet Tue 07-Jul-09 15:28:33

drinking chocolate has milk powder, sugar and probably a load of other stuff added to it

Tinker Tue 07-Jul-09 15:29:06

Cocoa is posher but I couldn't drink it without sugar.

Cocoa powder has more cocoa content - drinking chocolate has added sugar, and often powdered milk. As for "posher", that depends on who's drinking it. grin

definitely cocoa grin

TigerFeet Tue 07-Jul-09 15:30:12

I would say cocoa is posher

We have drinking chocolate in our house grin

So that's why I needed to add two spoonfuls of sugar to my cup of cocoa.

There's something on the label that says add potassium carbonate to make it taste better, what on earth is that?

OldLadyKnowsNothing Tue 07-Jul-09 15:35:12

Potassium carbonate. >>pulls face<<

I think it's used as a dessicant, don't see how it could make it taste better. hmm
