Baked potatoes with tuna & sweetcorn and salad stuff
Crackers, cheese, crisps & fruit
Scrambled eggs on toast

Somenody posted here long time an easy and healthy recipe to do chicken fingers at home. I believe it was Cod (or was she the one that made them) I don't know I will see if I can find it.

Somenody? somebody!

Thank you

Lots of lovely ideas here - will save some for next week's plan too ;)

Yorkie: hadn't thought of the salt. I'll be sparing. Was thinking more of the seafood aspect... have no idea when you're able to introduce that?

Am I right in thinking that the only thing I really need to avoid after one is peanuts?

And any whole nut (until 5) if your child has have allergies like eczema or asthma in the past. (traces of nuts in products are OK). Out of that he can have mostly everything

My 2yr old and I have just had new poatoes with cooked ham and bread and butter. I had some pasta salad with mine but ds had cheese. Hes really enjoyed it.

My kids also enjoy those dolmio stir in sauces. So quick and simple.

Thanks Chandra - I've just been trawling through the food.gov.uk site and getting myself well confused - that's MUCH easier to remember!!

GeorginaA Sun 15-May-05 16:41:22

Yum Louise - I could just eat that myself actually, sod the kids

Ooops, I got distracted and forgot about it... let me see if I find the recipe, they were a legend in Mumsnet at the time...

Here it is, it was actually Enid's:

...and here's ENID's famous recipe

Homemade Chicken Nuggets

750g minced chicken
175g breadcrumbs
175g grated cheddar
1 tbsp mayo to bind
1 clove garlic
salt and pepper
beaten egg and some fine toast breadcrumbs to coat the nuggets

Preheat oven to 180C. Mix all ingredients up to and including salt and pepper together. Form into walnut sized nuggets and roll them in beaten egg and then in toasted breadcrumbs. You can freeze them now if you want to.

Place on greased baking sheet and cook for about 20 minutes (45 if frozen). Voila!

They don't take long to make and once they are done you can freeze them. They are delicious too!
