Left over roast beef - what to do with it?

I did a roast beef (topside and well done) yesterday and I have 200g/7oz left over. What can I do with it?

I have courgettes, chestnut mushrooms, carrots, onion and garlic lurking in the fridge as well so if anything can be done with those too

Cottage pie? Try this recipe or any cottage pie recipe and just substitute finely diced cold beef for the mince.

or if you have any gravy left just steam the veg, cut the beef in to little bits and heat in the gravy, and just serve with potatoes, or rice.

Thanks for the tips Ladies.

I don't have any left over gravy as I made an onion gravy to put the sliced beef in after letting it rest (I always put roast meat in gravy before serving to make it as moist as possible) so the gravy has already had meat in it and I wouldn't feel safe reheating it (meal is going to be eaten by 18 m/o DD and my 5 month pg self).

Can I mince the beef in my Bamix? I don't have an actual mincer so thought sticking chunks of it through the the grater attachment might surfice??

Wouldn't bother mincing it myself, just chop it up fine.

i made shepherds pie recently and whizzed up chunks of cold lamb in moulinex food processer. Then made Hugh FW's recipe, including the old gravy which was fab. Personally I would put your gravy into the pie...but each to their own.

as long as you heat the gravy again thoroughly there should be no problem - or just make fresh.

Ended up making cottage pie with onions, carrot and courgette in it. DH said it was the best he'd had . I think it was the second stock cube my DD1 insisted we put it (and the stuffing!).

So thank you all for making my DH a very happy man.
