Now we all have kids we usually have friends round in the day and it's either BBQ or roast chicken and salad in the summer and joint and trimmings or bangers and mash in the winter.

On the rare occasion we do have a proper grown up meal I usually do an Indian banquet as it can be prepared in advance.

Curry, although cheated and got rice and naans from the takeaway!

Had 2 couples for dinner tonight (but don't count as guests as parents and sister & fiance!), and did fahitas & wedges.

I did chicken & black bean stir-fry with a platter of ribs & chicken wings on the side. Made up some rice-pudding in the slow-cooker which we had with peach and/or jam
