I have not got that particular book, but I have one by Carol Deacon - Perfect Party Cakes.

These are her quantities for those two tins -

12oz self-raising flour
10oz caster sugar
10oz soft margarine
5 medium eggs
3tbsp milk
to be baked for 1 1/2 to 1 3/4 hrs

1 1b self-raising flour
14oz caster sugar
14oz soft margarine
7 medium eggs
3 1/2 tbsp milk
to be baked for 1 3/4 to 2 hrs

I always substitute butter in those recipes (I hate margarine!) and they work fine.
