It's DD's 2nd birthday on Saturday and we are having a few friends and LOs over. We'll have either an indoor or outdoor picnic and I just wanted a few simple ideas for yummy food to make people think I am a domestic goddess

profiteroles

mini savoury tarts ( I like caremalised onion, goats cheese and cherry tomatoes with basil and also asparagus and parmesan)

A platter of mini cucumber sandwitches in a chequerboard pattern (alternate white and brown)

a big fruit salad with home-made vanilla ice cream

a lovely big salad

Smoked salmon on brown bread and butter cut into large triangles with some lemon wedges and small sprigs of dill. The adults will love, and some of the more adventurous dc will too.

Thanks for the yummy tips. Apologies for not coming back, I can't think about food at the moment as I have been throwing up all night (sorry - TMI).
