I often watch Come Dine With Me and am always surprised when the cooks brown meat then leave it for a few hours before finishing cooking, in fact come to think of it, I have heard it on here in reference to slow cooking. Are you supposed to do this, is it not a health hazard?
I looked it up before and it was definitely not safe. However my brain is apparently on a go slow and I can't find the link again! I expect I posted it on whichever thread it was before though- will search later but didn't want you to go unanswered now and may forget.
