I need to do a meal planner as our finances are seriously strapped at the moment, however, i need to swap the meals around abit, I need some idea of what i can send DP to work with for his lunch, ideally making this an easily reheatable main meal for his work day thats very filling. Me and DS will eat our main meal for Lunch too, that way we can have something snacky for dinner when DP gets in. Thing is I've only just become any good at cooking and im struggling with ideas for DP's lunch that dont include 'just pop to burger king 'cuz i can't be arsed!'

Please help me wise mumsnetters, i know you're all fabulously good at these things x

The lentil substituiton I think they mean when you cook meals with meat in if you put less meat in and more lentils they make you feel full and contain protein like meat. They can go in many things mainly red lentils - they can be put in pasta sauces etc.
Menu planning make a table for a week or two depending on size of your frige freezer. Then fill in all your meals - I always leave one day blank in case we go out or get take away - so nothing is wasted.
Lots of meals can be bulked out with veg, we eat vegetarian twice a week to save money and because it's nice.
What kind of food do you like?
