I do.

I just make toast as normal, mix cinnamon and sugar together with butter, then spread it on the toast. That's it.

so you don't grill it after spreading it?

No. You could if you wish but that's how my American friend makes it and after Googling it seems to be the most common method. It's delicious that way, even if it seems too simple.

My PG sugar craving is through the roof

I would buy cinamon and raisin bread but raisins are the food of the devil

I make cinnamon apple toast which is really, really lovely. Make toast, butter and layer thin slices of granny smith over top, sprinkle with brown sugar and cinnamon mixed together, pop under grill till sugar bubbles

nb - allow to cool before eating or you will lose the roof of your mouth

Raisins are indeed the creation of Satan.

My Belgian babysitter used to make it for us when we were kids - it is divine

I make mine like eggy bread with cinnamon and then caster sugar sprinkled on top...

Is that wrong? Some quick fried off strawberries and blueberries bunged on top too are nice.

No it isn't wrong. Just a variation that's all.

You can make that for my breakfast tomorrow. I normally hate breakfast but I'll make an exception this once.

Ooh spicemonster I will be trying that sometime soon, sounds gorgeous. I usually just do eggy bread and sprinkle brown sugar and cinnamon on top afterwards, but lately I've been leaving out the sugar and adding banana and Greek yoghurt for a fake healthy option DS also loves it.

I make eggy bread and then sprinkle sugar and cinnamon over while it is still hot from the pan.

I like the sound of the apple variation!

Usually just toast the bread then grill with brown sugar and cinnamon

Query - do those who make it like eggy bread actually add an egg?
