I went to the Taste Festival in Edinburgh yesterday and it was fabulous.

Granted, the constant sunshine does make a BIG difference, but the day was brilliant.

Lots of lovely food to taste, cooked by top chefs and drinks/wine to taste too!!

I think the Taste Festival London is on 18th to 21st June and I would definitely recommend it.

Look HERE

I'm just back from Edinburgh Taste too - fab!! took 9yo DD who had a ball as not many children her age (although lots of babies) so some of te exhibitors made an extra fuss of her with samples etc. Highly recommended! The live jazz and sunshine made it even better

Talking to people about Food Waste - not a riveting topic I know but I work for an organisation that is trying to make people more aware of waste (including food) and giving handouts on using up leftovers and buying seasonally etc

Hope today was as good as yesterday - Wasn't the music fab?

Sounds interesting - I'd love a job that involved working somewhere like that...glad you were still able to look round

Afraid I shamelessly only visited stalls with food samples

Yes today good - only regret I had the car with me as lots of alcoholic samples will def go back next year but I expect it will be raining!

I'm not going this year but have been the last two and it is fun. It can be better some years than others depending on what else is there besides the restuarants. My first year they had some great stores showcasing interesting local food which was lacking last year.

They had lots of Independant Producers stalls and a Farmers Market selling lots of nice stuff aswell as the big restaurants selling their wares.

I loved it so much I went twice and took along our kiwi relatives to show off the Scottish cooking.

Top tip is don't buy too many crowns ( you exchange your money for crowns to buy mini meals) as my friend and I managed to blag our way round on free tastings and were too full up to enjoy the proper food as much.

Not as many restaurants as last year although more local producers and products. I think its expensive for restaurants to have a stall and in the recession not everyone can afford to do it.

Loved the free entrance cocktail !
