The milk is not actually produced by the plant, but is produced by an insect, a type of tiny cockroach that burrows into the seed and produces a secretion which acts as a medium to be used for reproduction. The male gametes are secreted into it and when the female enters the "milk" its eggs which are bourne on the side of the body are fertilised. So it is actually semen.
