No - totally different. Mixed spice is sweet spices (cakes etc) Allspice is more for savoury dishes.

Dh (wizard cook) says it's not the same, but it wouldn't be a mega problem if you used it instead.

What are you making?

I’m making a marmalade cake and it asks for allspice... does that sound right ( US recipe) as opposed to mixed spice..

They're different flavours as mixed spice is (as the name implies) a slice blend while allspice is a slice in its own right. They have a similar flavour profile though so not the end of the world to use mixed, but it would be noticeably different from the original recipe.

@Angelsweet that sounds gorgeous.

Thank you! In the end I used the Allspice as requested by the recipe! A great success!
