I buy lean mince beef from supermarket, at the butchers I noticed I could only buy normal mince beef, is this fattier than the lean I normally buy?

Our butcher does 2 types, the lean steak mince and the normal one which is made from fattier cuts, they will if you ask them mince up a lean cut of meat for you if they don't provide and option.

its possibly a bit fattier, but you should ask the butcher

i bet it tastes better though and is better quality

Ask them. That's the great thing about butchers, they are always happy to discuss with you.
They can do you a much greater range of things than what you see on display.

TBH depends ont eh butcher - in general I would say a good quality butcher is leaner than the "lean" supermarket packs TBH. I have seen what they put in teh mincer at our's and there isn't an ounce of fat on it.
