about to embark on low carb diet....anyone tried shirayaki noodles as an alternative to pasta/noodles?

Been googling possible alternatives as I'm a bit of a pasta/noodle freak, and wondered if anyone out there had any experience? Supposedly they have no taste of their own at all but take on the flavour of whatever you cook with them? Vile or worth a whirl?
