Just made the most scrummy banana cake/bread but dd and I can't eat it all! Thought could keep for a few days in air tight tin but could I freeze it in slices or will it go yuky if I do? Sorry if this should be very obvious!!

I think you could.

The recipe I use freezes beautifully, if that is any use! I don't normally slice it first though.

I often freeze mine as too much to consume in one sitting, but what I do, is to cut the loaf into thirds, and then freeze them like that.

I freeze in slices. Works well. I find it handy to do that and then pop one in DS's lunch.

Brilliant, thanks for your replies, we did demolish quite a lot!! Dd only 21 months so was hoping could freeze and bring out odd slices to take to childminders or as treat every now and again.

Might try an apple or pear one later in the week when they are on the turn, thanks everyone!!!
