We started last night..we ALL made sausages, mashed potato, peas, carrots, pudding and gravy!..she loved doing it and asked to make it again tonight LOL..the actual eating of it was more of a struggle..but its a good start!..she thinks im poisening her if i put peas out, but DID have some last night..she does eat lots of fruit, but feeling major guilt over quick meals as i work most days 6.30-8pm(from home)and often done have time to 'make' anything!...so we're planning, when im not busy/quiet day/late start, im going to make things and eat/freeze..but dd loves to join in, so what have you tried and your kids have loved?
TIA

Anything that they can build themselves, as you've already realised, I see.

Tortillas with anything are good, (they put the filling in, fold or roll them up and then you can bake them in the oven).

Kebabs, just cube meat, veg etc and let them spear their own before you stick them under the grill.

Mine love Rainbow Rice (which we made up!). Cook rice in a bit of chicken stock then add in diced carrots, frozen peas, sweetcorn, whatever veg you have, then add diced ham or chicken. Drain it and return it to the pan then stir through a beaten egg until the egg is cooked.
You can also throw in a handful of red lentils with the rice for extra protein - you can't see them at all once it's cooked.

Cauliflower cheese. I also add carrots, brocolli and peas to make it a vegetable sheese.
My son LOVES it.

does she like pesto on pasta?
I add spinach/brocoli/ peas to mine (blend it all up) - gets wolved down here by a boy apparently allergic to green veg

we've just made lunch, it was tortilla wraps and they put in german sausage and we grated up some cheese rolled them and put them into oven..DD loved them (we have tortilla often but not 'baked'..didnt try her with salady stuff as we're doing that for dinner, but now having honeydew melon and grapes..think i will buy some skewers when we do shop and make fruity kebabs too but like the thought of meat/veggy ones!
