I dont live near London unfortunatly. I was reading on another thread that Selfridges in Birmingham do them but still a bit too far to travel for the odd packet of Goldfish. I live near Nottingham

Costco?

humphrey Tue 08-Mar-05 20:53:43

The only one I can find in the phone book is a Costco Wholesale in Derby and I don't suppose from reading other threads where people have mentioned Costco that this is the one you are talking about is it?

Do they definately do the Goldfish and wouldn't I have to buy them in bulk if it is a wholesale place?

I have not seen goldfish at my local costco. But I know that The Food Ferry do them. They are a mail order company and they do a lot of american products. They are pricey though. I think they have a website, but I don't have it to hand.

Oooo I'm hoping to be as good as JanH with providing informative links!

Bloomin' heck - was going to buy some (my american cousin bought me some goldfish crackers when she came over last) but £10 delivery cost?!!! You'd have to really love goldfish and order a lot of cases for that! Had a browse through the rest of their products and nothing particularly grabbed me either - shame there isn't an american import shop here. In the US you can got to Brit import shops, so would be fair for us to get the reverse!

You can get Goldfish at all selfridges with a food hall (thank the lordy), so that's London, Birmingham and Leeds, duno where the rest are?) along with Aunt Jemimas Pancake mix! yummy! cat me your address and I'll bring you some back in a few weeks if you like!

GeorginaA Tue 08-Mar-05 22:39:49

Ooo ... Selfridges is doable (the Birmingham branch at least) thanks for the heads up

Frizbe Tue 08-Mar-05 22:44:45

no worries, just ask the staff where they are, as they'd hidden them from me the last time we went in!

GeorginaA Tue 08-Mar-05 22:47:50

Gits!

What's the salt content in them, does anyone know? (i.e. good or bad idea for an under 1 year old?)

Frizbe Tue 08-Mar-05 22:50:16

hang on I'll go and check a packet!ha ha no, they've overstuck the american label with the importers label! damn, I have to eat some of these now.....try their web site \link(www.pfgoldfish.com\fish)

Hehehe... have to say our box once opened didn't last long.

Can't find anything on the site - it's jumping around all over the place! Would assume they are fairly salty though, so not a good ds2 dietry addition quite yet...
