Found this the other night, and made them last night. Just with onions but would work with any veg. BAKE IN THE OVEN ONION BHAJIS!!! They needed longer in the oven than the recipe. But they were delicious!!
shallow frying wouldn't actually make them any less fattening than deep frying, provided the fat for deep frying is hot enough it should seal the food before any oil is actually absorbed into it, and then you drain on kitchen paper anyway.
Baked would be ok but they wouldn't taste nearly as nice. It's the fat that makes them taste so good
