Hi

Millionaires Flapjack

100g/4oz Margarine
1x15ml/1tbsp golden syrup
100g/4oz sugar
50g/2oz oats
50g/2oz self raising flour
75/3oz crushed cornflakes

Melt the margarine and syrup gently

Mix the dry ingrediants together and then pour in margarine mixture and mix well.

Spread evenly in greased tin and press down firmly.

Bake in oven at 190c for 20 mins

Cut while warm

NB I made this last week and we have a fan oven, the flapjack came out very very hard so I would adjust the temp or not cook it as long.

Happy baking!

favourite in our house

20 oz oats
8 oz butter
2 table spoons of malt
4oz soft brown sugar

melt malt and butter, mix together, bake at gas mark 4 for 15-20 mins until just turning brown.

This is quite a dry one, with relatively low sugar and high on oats.

Only just looged back on so i missed the other 2 versions. We made it the delia way and its lovely. I'm suprised by how many variations there is. I will have to try the other ones cause flapjack is my dh's favourite. (Ive never been able to make it the same as his mum so hopefully one of them will be right

my version was dh's recipe - if you can't get malt you can sunstitute golden syrup or a couple of ounces of butter.

you can add any dried fruit to our recipe - just add as much as you like. Good with sultanas or apricots.
