can't get tahini at the moment, but i want to make humous at home (for the first time).

so can i blitz some sesame seeds into humous instead. or should i miss out the sesame all together?

I think that would work. That's all tahini is anyway. The only problem you might have is getting them ground finely enough. Maybe add some sesame or olive oil to get them started!

Let us know how it turns out grin

I sometimes don't bother with tahini at all, and just use olive oil. It tends to be a bit drier (unless you add quite alot) but if you have it on veggies its fine. (sandwiches it makes dry).
Only advice would be to add the oil slowly and keep testing, to make sure it doesn't come out too runny!
