anyone have a recipe for KFC style chicken?

i'm sure its simple enough, but what spices should i try?

and would i coat the chicken in egg and then flour/spice/herb mix?

i would prefer to put the chicken in the oven/grill than deep fry though.

would it be better to roast the pieces first and then shallow fry at the last, to make it crispy coated?

but if i must, will fry it.

I use flour mixed with Chilli powder and paprika, then dip in flour mix, egg, then flour again, fry.

A teaspoon of Engliah Mustard mixed in with the beaten egg gives it a little edge too

You don't need to fry, it will get crispy in the oven. I just dust with plain flour, make some breadcrumbs and toast them under the grill or in oven then mix in black and white pepper, paprika, chilli flakes and thyme, dip in eggs, then in the breadcrums and put in oven.
