Impressive but surprisingly easy dishes to make
can you use crusts, cos i have loadsand my delia mentions cream, but i dont have cream. anyone got a simple recipe.tia
yes, just as good with the crusts, you can use milk instead of cream.
it's better with crust because they don't go so mushy.
I think it's 1 egg to half a pint of milk. Layer bread & butter, dried fruit and a sprinkle of sugar. pour on eggy milk and cook for about 20-30 mins. But that is from memory
For a gingery version slice up a bought ginger cake, spread with marmalade and pour over eggy milk. When baked it turns into a lovely sort of moussey orangey thing, divine with icecream.
that sounds lovely. Delia does a lovely chocolate one too.
A genius friend of mine at university used to serve it with a sauce made from Mars Bars microwaved until they were liquid. It's probably something you can only really get away with eating when you're 20 and on the sports teams, though.
it was really yummy, though i hadnt realised it took 3 eggs oh and 1 pint of milk in my recipe, still healthy pudding for the dcs.big fat crusts i am sure made all the difference.
a whole pinta milk! isnt that healthy?you cant call it unhealthy can you?
I wouldn't call it healthy. f-ing delicious, yes.
