What age is your child? My 2 yr old ds likes all types of pasta, egg noodles and rice, these form the backbone for lots of meals, e.g. macaroni and cheese with or without tuna, rice with egg, peas and soy sauce added, egg noodles with corn and cooked chicken etc. etc. Egg noodles especially hardly any time to cook so it's not as hard if they spit them out! Good luck.

For my faddy ds, I'll often do what Skerriesmum suggests, and I'll also suggest couscous as one of the 'backbones'. Inexpensive, takes literally five mins to prepare, will take all sorts of other flavours and ingredients with it, and ds will eat it.
I'm glad to see, Skerriesmum, that you too have a soy sauce eater - thought my ds was the only one!

agree - my 2.4 yr old loves pasta, rice, and noodles. im not a very good or patient cook and i just get pasta, chop up some colourful veg - orange peppers, cucumber, tomatoes, celery, a bit cheese and its like a mini salad in a bowl. dead easy too. with the noodles its usually spoonful of tinned tomatoes, sweetcorn and chicken. the rice can be warm or cold, with a million things too.

another thing she likes is mini sausage rolls and pizza, even sandwiches, cold salmon, chipolata sausages and mashed potato, cheese on toast, and all kinds of soup. she LOVES soup, i usually add a bit milk in it for extra nutrients and to make it more palatable for her

for pudding its usually just a yoghurt, or a bunch of grapes, she like pulling them off the twig

Hi 'Somebody'. I have a 2 year old who has in the last few months become very fussy. She used to eat so much more but now she eats every type of fruit going plus fish fingers, baked beans, sometimes some pasta with cheese & ham but that's about it! I also find it so frustrating!! I end up trying several meals each meal-time. Most of the time I resort to toast. I need tips on meals but currently veg, rice, meat is not on her food-likes. HELP !
