Roughly how many apples to a pound?

Just roughly please. Not big bramleys, just standard apples.

Can you balance them against a 2lb bag of sugar/flour?

I have weighed 2 different apples for you:

Smaller kids' type apple = 3oz

Slightly larger (i.e.medium sized apple) = 125g (4.5oz)

16oz in a pound - sure you know that though.

p.s. you have done me a favour as it made me get up and now I have the motivation to go to bed. Please ask me a similar question tomorrow so I am not on here too late.
